CM Balochistan reviews progress on Trauma Centers activation

QUETTA, Feb 02 (APP): Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a review meeting on Monday to assess progress on the activation of trauma centers across the province.
The meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, attended by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Health Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Panizai, Secretary Finance Lal Jan Jaffer, Principal Secretary to the CM Imran Zarkoon, Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan, Managing Director Trauma Center Arbab Kamran Kasi, along with other senior officials.
During the briefing, the Health Secretary informed the Chief Minister about the newly constructed trauma center at Spini Road, Quetta, highlighting its enhanced capacity and improved emergency treatment facilities.
He added that the clinical network had been expanded to ensure timely medical response, while also outlining the need for additional human resources and budgetary support.
The Chief Minister directed that the trauma center at Spini Road be made operational immediately, stressing that merit must be strictly observed in staff recruitment. He further instructed that the trauma center at Sheikh Zayed Hospital be completed at the earliest.
Addressing the meeting, CM Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that public service remains the top priority of the provincial government. He emphasized that the activation of trauma centers is vital to provide faster and more effective medical facilities, ensuring immediate assistance in emergency situations.
