ICT Police wireless staff honoured at Safe City farewell ceremony

ISLAMABAD, Feb 02 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police honoured three retiring wireless officials during a dignified farewell ceremony held at Safe City Islamabad.
A police spokesperson told APP on Monday that Sub-Inspector Mehboob Ali, Assistant Sub-Inspector Qaiser Abbas, and Constable Mushtaq Ahmed, who retired from Islamabad Police’s wireless wing, were honoured for their long and dedicated service to the department.

The ceremony was attended by DG Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya as chief guest, along with senior police officers. On the occasion, the DG Safe City presented honorary police shields to the retiring officials and extended best wishes for their future.
Addressing the ceremony, Muhammad Haroon Joya said that retirement is a natural part of service life, and every officer who joins the force eventually completes this journey. He appreciated the professional services rendered by the retired officials and emphasized that police officers should always strive to serve the public with honesty, dedication and integrity so their service is remembered with respect.
He further said that public service during one’s career not only strengthens the institution but also earns goodwill and lasting respect in society.
The retired officials expressed gratitude to Islamabad Police for the honour and appreciation, stating that such recognition is a source of pride and encouragement.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, honorary police shields and gifts were presented to the retired wireless staff in recognition of their valuable contributions, while prayers were offered for their health and prosperous future.
