MULTAN, Feb 02 (APP): In an effective crackdown against the illegal sale of kites and hazardous chemical thread, Multan Police carried out a citywide operation and arrested six outlaws, recovering hundreds of kites and a large quantity of banned chemical string.
Police teams conducted targeted raids in different areas of the city, leading to the arrest of six suspects involved in the sale and distribution of prohibited kite-flying material.
During the operations, hundreds of kites and a significant amount of chemical-coated thread were recovered from the possession of the arrested outlaws. The recovered material has been taken into custody, while separate cases have been registered against the suspects with the concerned police stations.
According to police sources, the illegal sale and use of chemical thread have caused numerous accidents and injuries in the past, prompting the authorities to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against violators. The crackdown aims to protect citizens, especially motorcyclists and pedestrians, from potential hazards.
