SIALKOT, Feb 02 (APP):The ongoing anti-encroachment operation at the historic Sialkot Fort reached its sixth day on Monday,as authorities continued efforts to restore the monument to its original status.
The operation, led by Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Sialkot, Zubair Wattoo, was being supported by the PERA Force. Authorities were utilizing heavy machinery to remove permanent encroachments, while laborers focus on clearing narrow passages, including an important historic route within the fort.
According to officials, the drive was being carried out under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, Saba Asghar Ali, and will persist until the full restoration of the fort was achieved.
