RAWALPINDI, Feb 01 (APP): World Bank President Ajay Pal Singh Banga on Sunday visited the historic Taxila Museum, where he viewed priceless artifacts and collections reflecting Pakistan’s rich national heritage.
President Banga appreciated the arrangements and facilities at the museum, commending efforts to preserve its historical collections.
City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani informed the dignified guest that security at historical sites and convenience for visitors were being ensured at all times. He added that protecting national heritage was a shared responsibility and that all possible measures were being taken to safeguard such landmarks.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Ameer Khattak, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Superintendent of Police (SP) Potohar and other police officials were also present.
The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson said the department remained committed to the protection of cultural heritage sites while facilitating tourism and ensuring a safe environment for visitors.
