LAHORE, Feb 01 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Sunday met newly appointed Assistants of Punjab Police at the Central Police Office and underlined the importance of hard work, education, and effective use of professional skills for institutional progress.
Addressing the meeting, which was attended by 32 Assistants recruited from across the province, the IG Punjab congratulated them on joining the police force and said that hardworking, competent, and experienced office staff formed the backbone of any organization. He urged the newly inducted Assistants to fully utilize their education, skills, and abilities to ensure efficient performance of official duties.
Dr Usman Anwar said the newly appointed Assistants would undergo one week of initial training, after which they would deliver presentations as part of their professional development. He added that progress in professional life was possible through dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm.
The IG Punjab said the induction of new Assistants would help eliminate vacant posts and significantly improve the efficiency of office affairs across the department.
A Punjab Police spokesperson said the recruitment process was completed through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). The newly recruited Assistants hold qualifications including MPhil, MA, MSc, BSc, and LLB degrees and will be posted to various units and branches of Punjab Police.
Additional IG Punjab Imran Arshad, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr Muhammad Abid Khan, AIG Admin Asad Ejaz Malhi, and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
