ISLAMABAD, Feb 01 (APP): Chief Executive Officer of the National Productivity Organization (NPO) Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry on Sunday highlighted the critical role of effective human capital management in enhancing the competitiveness and productivity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Speaking at the closing session of the four-day international workshop on “Human Capital Management in SMEs”, he said that NPO remains committed to supporting SMEs through targeted capacity-building initiatives, policy advocacy, and continued collaboration with the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Japan.
The workshop brought together policymakers, productivity practitioners, industry representatives, and international participants to deliberate on strategies for strengthening human capital practices in SMEs, said a news release.
A vote of thanks on behalf of the participants was presented by Dr. Anthony Cinco Sales of the Philippines, who appreciated NPO Pakistan, APO Japan, the resource persons and the organizers for the well-structured programme and valuable learning opportunities.
Member NPO Board of Directors Sahibzadi Maheen Khan presented a vote of thanks on behalf of NPO, acknowledging the valuable support of APO Japan, the Chief Guest, resource persons, participants, and the organizing team for the successful conduct of the workshop.
President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Muhammad Rehan Hanif emphasized the critical role of skilled and motivated human capital in sustaining industrial growth.
He appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for closer collaboration between productivity organizations and the private sector to translate learning into practical outcomes.
