PESHAWAR, Jan 31 (APP): University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) and Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University China signed a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration.
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Jehan Bakht, Vice Chancellor of University of Agriculture Peshawar and Prof. Dr. Zhang Lixin, Chairman, Silk Road Bio Health Agri. Industry Alliance, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University China signed the MoU in a ceremony held in the office of Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) Islamabad, said a release issued here Saturday. Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) facilitated Signing of MoU.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman PSF Islamabad Prof Dr. Muhammad Akmal, Registrar UAP and Focal Person for MoU, Dr. Rizwan Ahmad and Director ORIC UAP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif.
The MoU aims to promote cooperation in teaching, research and faculty and student exchange programs between the two institutions. This collaboration is expected to enhance academic and research linkages between the two countries. The partnership would focus on areas like agricultural research, technology transfer and skill development programs.
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Jehan Bakht expressed hope that the MoU would be a milestone for strengthening academic collaboration, promoting joint research initiatives and fostering long-term institutional partnerships between the two sides.
