FAISALABAD, Jan 31 (APP): Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar paid a surprise visit to Allied Hospital-II (DHQ Hospital) and imposed a fine of Rs. 200,000 on the Project Management Unit (PMU) contractor besides issuing a stern warning over unsatisfactory cleanliness conditions.
During inspection, the commissioner expressed strong displeasure over unclean bed-sheets in the wards and ordered their immediate replacement in his presence. Strict action would be taken in case of any recurrence of such negligence, he warned.
He also visited various wards of the hospital and inquired after the patients undergoing treatment in addition to verifying availability of medicines from the hospital.
He checked the functionality of medical machinery and expressed satisfaction over their operational status.
He also inspected the availability and working condition of firefighting equipment in the hospital to ensure safety preparedness.
He said that no compromise would be tolerated in the provision of quality treatment and prompt medical facilities to the patients. Any obstacle in delivering efficient healthcare services would be dealt with strictly, he added.
