SARGODHA, Jan 31 (APP):The Traffic Police on Saturday launched a comprehensive crackdown against passenger buses and vehicles to remove illegal iron grills and extra seats across the district to ensure road safety and prevent accidents.
Special teams started strict checking at various entry and exit points, highways,
and bus terminals.
A Traffic police spokesperson said that heavy fines would be imposed on vehicles
involved in overloading or carrying passengers on roofs.
The spokesperson highlighted that illegal iron grills not only cause accidents but also hinder the safe exit of passengers during emergencies, significantly increasing the
risk of casualties.
