SIALKOT, Jan 30 (APP):Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Friday announced that applications were open for its Ambassador Program for Female University Students,a pioneering initiative by the Women Development Department,Government of Punjab aimed at nurturing the next generation of women leaders.
The program,implemented at GCWUS under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor(VC) Prof.Dr.Shazia Bashir,focuses on empowering students to become confident change-makers through leadership and advocacy.
It seeks to equip participants with essential skills in digital literacy,communication and entrepreneurship,while encouraging student-led awareness and social impact campaigns.
Participants will also gain access to networking opportunities, community engagement platforms, and stipends and incentives for active involvement.
The initiative provides a unique opportunity for young women to translate classroom learning into real-world impact, emerging as role models and leaders within their universities and local communities.
Officials said that the program was part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen women’s empowerment and leadership in Punjab.
Applications were now open for eligible students who aspire to lead, advocate and make a difference.
