GUJRAT, Jan 30 (APP):Police on Friday arrested a man and recovered a large quantity of fireworks during a crackdown on the illegal sale of firecrackers at Shaheen chowk,acting on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO)Gujrat.
According to a police spokesperson,the suspect was identified as Zakaullah,r/o Nagriyanwala.
The seized items included boxes of firecrackers,sparklers and other small explosive materials.
The DPO said strict action would continue against those involved in the illegal trade of fireworks to ensure public safety.
A case has been registered while further investigation was underway.
