ATTOCK, Jan 30 (APP):The police arrested five proclaimed offenders wanted in various criminal cases including heinous crimes during separate operations carried out across the district, the the police said on Friday.
According to police sources, a proclaimed offender wanted in a three-year-old kidnapping case was arrested in Hassanabdal, while another proclaimed offender involved in multiple robbery cases registered two years ago was apprehended in a separate action.
In another operation, the police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a three-year-old robbery case.
Meanwhile, an offender wanted in a case of issuing life threats to a citizen was also taken into custody, while the City Police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a cheque dis-honor case.
The sources said all the arrested proclaimed offenders had been absconding for a long time and were wanted in cases of serious nature.
Further investigation had been initiated, they added.
