PESHAWAR, Sep 28 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said as the people of FATA (tribal areas) had equal rights like other citizens in the country, all measures would be taken for their progress and uplift.
He was chairing a meeting of Task Force on FATA here, which was attended by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Religious Affairs Minister Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Chief Secretary, IG Police and senior representatives from FATA Secretariat and army.
The prime minister called for speedy work for FATA merger in terms of administrative, legal, local bodies and development.
He said all the institutions were required to work in unison to achieve the single objective of socio-economic welfare of the people of FATA.
The prime minister urged the task force that there should be no delay in the process of FATA merger.
