ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (APP):Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday held a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged views on regional developments.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and diplomatic engagement as key means to promote peace, security and development across the region, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.
Reflecting the close and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran, rooted in shared history, culture and faith, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular high-level engagements and consultations through established bilateral institutional mechanisms.
They expressed confidence that continued interaction and cooperation would further strengthen bilateral relations across the full spectrum of political, economic and regional cooperation.
