D Cattle Farms, Saudi Titans register wins in Wing 999 Inter-Departmental League

KARACHI, Jan 29 (APP):D Cattle Farms and Saudi Titans recorded impressive victories in the Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket League as the tournament continued at various grounds across the city on Thursday.
D Cattle Farms secured a thrilling 18-run win over Pakistan Stallions at the RLCA UP Ground, powered by a brilliant unbeaten century from Arsalan Farzand. Batting first, D Cattle Farms posted a strong total of 246 for 4 in their allotted 40 overs. Arsalan Farzand led the charge with an outstanding unbeaten 137, striking 12 fours and six sixes, while Aliyan Mehmood supported him with an unbeaten 83 that included seven boundaries and a six. For Pakistan Stallions, medium pacer Hammad Bhatti claimed three wickets for 41 runs.
In reply, Pakistan Stallions were bowled out for 228 in 39.3 overs despite a valiant effort from Zaid Umar, who scored 81 with nine fours and four sixes. Farman Shah added 48, while Naqash Nazar (33) and Muhammad Hussain (27) also contributed. D Cattle Farms’ bowlers shared the spoils, with Muhammad Owais picking up 3 for 52, Sikandar Soomro taking 2 for 36, and Aliyan Mehmood claiming 2 for 50.
In the second match at Eid Gah Ground, Korangi, Saudi Titans edged past Custom Academy by three wickets in a closely contested encounter. Custom Academy, batting first, scored 262 for 7 in 40 overs. Tariq Bakht top-scored with 74, including ten fours, while Salman Sarwar made 57 with four fours and three sixes. Umar Farooq and Farman Shah contributed 41 runs each, and Hashir Nawaz added 29. For Saudi Titans, Ghulam Mustafa took 3 for 37, while Basit Khan claimed 2 for 58.
Chasing 263 for victory, Saudi Titans reached the target at 265 for 7 in 39.1 overs. Basit Khan played a match-winning knock of 86, hitting ten fours, while Hassan Danish added a solid 71, featuring four boundaries and three sixes. Ghulam Mustafa chipped in with 38 and Hassan Iqbal scored 33. Rehan Shah was the standout bowler for Custom Academy, finishing with figures of 4 for 58.
The Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket League is being organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Wing 999 Sports.
