ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (APP):The District & Sessions Court of Islamabad on Thursday continued proceedings in the case related to the killing of a 22-year-old student, Iman Afroz, at a hostel of the International Islamic University.
The hearing was conducted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. The prosecution was represented by Advocate Naveed Hussain Kiani, who appeared before the court on behalf of the state.
During the hearing, the court recorded the statements of two prosecution witnesses. The judge directed the prosecution to present all remaining evidence at the next hearing to ensure progress in the trial.
The accused, identified as Feroz, was produced before the court during the proceedings. The judge reviewed the case record and issued further directions regarding the presentation of evidence.
After completing the day’s proceedings, the court adjourned the hearing of the case until February 3. The trial will continue on the next date with the recording of remaining witness statements and submission of evidence.
According to official records, a murder case over the killing of Iman Afroz was registered at Ramna Police Station. The case relates to an incident that took place inside the university hostel. The court is hearing the matter in accordance with legal procedure.
