PITB holds blood donation camp for children with Thalassemia

LAHORE, Jan 29 (APP):The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Fatimid Foundation Lahore Centre and Arfa Software Technology Park, on Thursday organised a blood donation camp to support children suffering from thalassemia.
The PITB staff members actively participated in the camp, donating blood with great enthusiasm to help ensure the timely treatment of thalassemia patients. Free screening tests were conducted for all donors, including blood grouping and tests for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, RPR, and malaria parasite, ensuring a safe and healthy donation process.
In his message on the occasion, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized the importance of regular blood donation, stating that collective efforts are essential to meet the ongoing blood requirements of children battling thalassemia and to enable their timely medical care.
He further added that PITB regularly organizes blood donation drives, health camps, and awareness activities as part of its commitment to promoting the well-being of its staff and contributing positively to society.
