ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (APP):The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has categorically stated that no inquiry or investigation is underway into alleged misappropriation of funds in the Sukkur or Guddu Barrage rehabilitation project.
A NAB spokesman said certain media outlets had alleged that NAB Sukkur had initiated action in the matter, but termed such reports “baseless and misleading.”
“It is unequivocally clarified that no such inquiry or investigation is underway at NAB Sukkur,” the statement read.
Spokesman confirmed that a complaint had been received and forwarded to the Accountability Facilitation Cell (AFC) at the office of the Chief Secretary Sindh for further necessary action under Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
NAB reiterated its commitment to transparency, stating that the public would be kept informed of any developments in accordance with law.
