SARGODHA, Jan 29 (APP):Under the Benazir Income Support Program, the first payment of the new year has been issued to women under the old method instead of the Violet Account SIMS system.
According to the details, the payment process has started for 185,670 registered women in Sargodha district including all its tehsils including Bhera, Bhalwal, Sahiwal, Shahpur, Sargodha, Kot Momin and Sillanwali where each beneficiary could get 13500 While the amount of children’s scholarship is also being paid at the same time.
Deputy Director Benazir Income Support Program Sargodha District Malik Safdar Awan told APP that under the newly released installment a total of 185,670 registered beneficiaries across the District including it’s Tehsils would get the BISP payments under recent released tranche.
He said that 15778 registered beneficiary women from Bhera, 20743 from Bhalwal, 10630 from Sahiwal, 17622 from Shahpur, 24070 from Kot Momin, 11810 from Sillanwali and 85017 from Sargodha are being paid Rs. 13500 each.
Safdar Awan further said that by the end of December, Violet accounts of 213,000 registered beneficiary women had been opened and SIMs had been issued to them, but due to time constraints, the first payment of this year could not be made through the new method, while the second payment of this year will be made through SIMs. Safder concluded that 750 mobile shop agents across the District have been authorized for BISP payments.
