IGP Rizvi reviews AI, digital tools to boost smart policing in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting on Thursday to review the use of artificial intelligence (AI), digital tools and modern technology to further improve policing and public service delivery in the federal capital.
A police official told APP that the meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Operations, AIG Legal and other senior police officers.
The official said detailed discussions were held on Islamabad Police’s public service delivery initiatives, Safe City IT projects, mobile applications and the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence for effective policing.
During the meeting, IGP Rizvi reviewed ongoing projects aimed at improving response time, transparency and facilitation for citizens, and issued directions for further strengthening digital systems.
He stressed that the use of AI and modern digital tools is essential to meet contemporary policing challenges and to provide better, faster and more transparent services to the public.
The IGP directed officers to ensure effective implementation of these initiatives and to fully utilize technology to enhance performance, coordination and public trust.
Islamabad Police, IGP Rizvi added, remain committed to adopting modern solutions to ensure public safety and improved service delivery across the federal capital.
