Students from Gujranwala, Islamabad visit Parliament House

ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP):A 46-member delegation of students from Premier Law College, Gujranwala, along with a student delegation from Scienta Vision School and College, Islamabad, accompanied by faculty members, visited Parliament House on Wednesday.
Officials of the Senate Secretariat warmly welcomed the visiting delegations.
During the visit, the students toured the Senate Museum and Constitution Gallery, where they were briefed on the functioning of Parliament, the legislative process, the constitutional responsibilities of the Senate, and the role of standing committees.
The delegations were also briefed on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the formation of the Constitution of Pakistan, and various stages of legislation. The students later visited the Senate Hall.
The visiting students showed keen interest in the parliamentary system, democratic traditions and the role of the Upper House, terming the visit informative and beneficial. They also thanked the Senate officials for their cooperation and hospitality.
