ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday adjourned hearing on identical petitions regarding the presidential ordinance about local body elections.
The hearing was adjourned without further proceeding due to the leave of Justice Muhammad Azam Khan.
Jamaat-e-Islami and Markazi Muslim League have filed petitions related to the local government elections, on which the Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan and the parties and sought their response.
The court has also consolidated the case of Markazi Muslim League with the case of Jamaat-e-Islami.
