SARGODHA, Jan 27 (APP):The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) on Tuesday launched two literacy centers at District Jail Shahpur Saddar under its Adult Education Program,aimed at providing basic education to illiterate prisoners.
According to a spokesperson,Deputy Director of NCHD District Sargodha, Mehr Umar Daraz Jhawari visited the centers and highlighted the initiative’s goal to equip inmates with essential literacy skills,helping them reintegrate into society as productive and respectable citizens.
Jhawari emphasized that through the Adult Education Program,NCHD was committed to improving the literacy rate and contributing to the welfare of society,not only in Sargodha but across the country.
The literacy centers were part of NCHD’s broader effort to empower marginalized groups and create positive social change through education.
