Art, artists country’s vital cultural assets, says Asma Butt

RAWALPINDI, Jan 26 (APP):Renowned writer and film director Asma Butt has said that art and artists are the foundation of a nation’s identity and intellectual growth, calling Pakistani artists a vital cultural asset.

She emphasized that literature, theatre, film, and other arts not only raise social awareness but also promote a positive national image.

Asma stressed that artists, as society’s most sensitive segment, need freedom, respect, and support to showcase Pakistan’s talent and soft image globally.

She urged the government and institutions to actively promote arts, saying that supporting artists is an investment in the nation’s cultural and intellectual future.She concluded that a developed society is one that guarantees dignity, protection, and freedom for its artists.
