LAHORE, Jan 26 (APP):Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi inaugurated the Business Facilitation Centre at Pakistan Railways Headquarters here on Monday.
According to a press release issued here, the minister stated that the establishment
of the Business Facilitation Centre would bring significant improvement in freight, logistics and commercial operations of Pakistan Railways by ensuring speed, convenience and transparency.
He said: “The centre has been designed to provide one-window facilitation to investors
and business entities, enabling them to receive prompt guidance and swift decisions.”
Abbasi emphasized that individuals and organizations doing business with Pakistan Railways would be treated as business partners rather than mere clients.
He said that whenever investors or business representatives visit the Business Facilitation Centre, they would be properly welcomed, and a designated officer would attend them without any waiting time.
The railways minister mentioned that the Business Facilitation Centre marks an important step towards promoting a modern business model, transparent commercial decision-making, increased revenue generation and enhanced confidence of the private sector in Pakistan Railways.
The centre would serve as a central point of contact for freight, logistics and commercial partnerships, he added.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Hanif Abbasi said that Pakistan Railways would continue to implement reforms aimed at transforming the organization into a progressive, investor-friendly and financially sustainable national institution.
