QUETTA, Jan 26 (APP):Football activities have once again gained momentum in Balochistan as the provincial government launches an international-standard training program for young footballers, marking a renewed focus on sports development in the province.
A six-member foreign coaching team has arrived in Quetta to provide advanced, professional training to 63 footballers, including 12 female players. The initiative aims to enhance the technical, physical, and professional skills of young athletes and prepare them for competition at national and international levels.
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed optimism over the revival of sports activities in the province, adding that Balochistan’s sports grounds are once again coming alive. He said the inclusion of foreign coaches and modern training techniques reflects the government’s serious commitment to nurturing youth talent.
“The international-level training of 63 footballers has formally begun, and it is encouraging to see 12 women athletes actively participating in this program,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Sarfraz Bugti added that the presence of foreign coaches would significantly improve the players’ technical capabilities through modern and professional training sessions.
Welcoming the conduct of structured training sessions under international supervision, Bugti called it a positive step for football development in the province. He emphasized that such sessions would boost players’ morale, confidence, and professional skills.
The Chief Minister further said that the provincial government is making substantial investments to promote sports and bring forward young talent. Providing opportunities for Balochistan’s athletes at both national and international platforms remains a top priority of the government, he added.
The initiative is being seen as a major step toward reviving football in Balochistan, creating pathways for talented players to compete on the global stage.
