ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (APP):The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Sunday organised a student community market at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9) near the Gandhara Citizen Club on the directives of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The event was attended by a large number of citizens, including families, as well as students from various universities and educational institutions.

CDA spokesperson told APP that the objective of the initiative was to promote entrepreneurship among youth and provide them with a platform to showcase their creative and innovative ideas.
Stalls set up by students featured handmade products, arts and crafts, creative designs and technology-based projects.
The market also aimed to provide citizens with direct access to unique products while offering a recreational activity in the city.
On the instructions of the CDA chairman, he said the Environment Wing distributed plants among visitors to promote awareness about tree plantation.

The spokesperson quoted Randhawa as saying the model of community markets would be extended to other parks and public spaces in Islamabad to create more opportunities for young people and improve recreational facilities for residents.
