ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (APP): The Pakistan Army successfully carried out timely rescue and relief operations during snowfall to evacuate stranded citizens besides restoring the Kotli-Nakyal Road for traffic.
Pak Army conducted rescue and relief operations in Jandrott and Pir Nasoorah during snowfall. As a result, the Kotli to Nakyal Road has been fully reopened for traffic.
The Pakistan Army provided food and other relief items to the affected people. Several families were rescued and given necessary assistance in Pir Nasoorah.
The Army also supplied petrol to a number of vehicles trapped due to heavy snowfall.
Owing to the Pakistan Army’s timely and professional response, key ground communication links in the area have been restored.
Despite severe weather conditions, the Pakistan Army remains determined to serve the people and ensure the restoration of normal life.
