QUETTA, Jan 24 (APP): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast further rain and snowfall across various districts of Balochistan from January 25 to January 27, warning of potential flash flooding and traffic disruptions in affected areas.
According to the PMD, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and strong winds is expected in several districts, including Gwadar (Jiwani, Gwadar city, Pasni, Ormara), Khuzdar, Kech (Turbat), Chagai (Taftan, Nokkundi, Dalbandin), Panjgur, Kalat, Washuk, Surab, Quetta, Zhob, Mastung, Kharan, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Loralai and Awaran.
Heavy downpours may occur at isolated locations in Gwadar, Awaran, Chagai, Panjgur, and Kech, increasing the risk of flash floods in urban streams and hilly regions.
Light to moderate snowfall combined with strong winds is expected from Monday to Tuesday in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Harmzai, Khanozai, Kan Mehterzai, Muslim Bagh, Loi Band, Qila Abdullah and Gulistan.
Authorities have cautioned that snowfall may lead to slippery road conditions, potentially disrupting traffic in mountainous areas.

Residents, particularly those in flood-prone and high-altitude regions, have been urged to exercise caution and stay updated on further weather advisories.
