MOSCOW, Jan 23 (APP):Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Friday met Member of the Board – Minister in-charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU) Andrey Slepnev, here at the Secretariat of the EAEU.
Ambassador, during the meeting, underscored the importance of enhanced engagement between Pakistan and the EAEU, noting that Pakistan attaches great significance to strengthening and deepening its relations with the EAEU.
While underlining that Pakistan attached immense significance to its relations with Russia, Ambassador expressed Pakistan’s interest in increasing bilateral trade cooperation with EAEU members States in the fields of trade, connectivity, investment, and B2B exchanges.
He noted Pakistan’s tremendous potential for transit trade and connectivity. He also appreciated Pakistan’s establishment of relations with Armenia, which he observed would contribute to strengthening Pakistan’s ties with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Referring to future plans and strategies to further deepen bilateral relations, both sides expressed readiness for developing trade and mechanisms to strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and the EAEU.
