ISLAMABAD, Jan 23 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, has arrested two accused involved in visa fraud and migrant smuggling.
An official told APP on Friday that the arrested accused were identified as Muhammad Farooq and Asif Mahmood.
He said the accused allegedly deceived a citizen by offering employment in Azerbaijan and fraudulently obtained Rs 820,000 from him.
The official added that the accused were arrested from Rawalpindi following a targeted operation. After their arrest, formal investigation was initiated to determine the full scope of the fraud.
He said further investigation is under way to identify other facilitators and victims linked to the racket.
The FIA reaffirmed its commitment to taking strict action against individuals involved in visa fraud and human smuggling to protect citizens from exploitation.
