RAWALPINDI, Jan 23 (APP):The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have put in place measures to curb illegal vehicles’ Jumma Bazaar and prevent the resultant congestion on the Murree Road.
City Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam said on Friday that more than 50 personnel and two tow trucks had been deployed on the city’s main artery to curb no-parking violations and ensure smooth traffic flow.
He emphasised that the car market operating on the Murree Road had no legal status and that repeated warnings had been issued to the organisers.
He said all available resources were being employed to maintain uninterrupted traffic in the city and that violators causing inconvenience to other road users would face heavy fines.
CTO Farhan Aslam urged citizens not to create difficulties for others in pursuit of personal convenience and encouraged them to play their part in ensuring organised traffic management.
