ISLAMABAD, Jan 23 (APP):Gold prices surged to an all-time high in the local market on Friday as the price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs9,100 to settle at Rs514,662.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also jumped by Rs7,802 to Rs441,239, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs7,152 to Rs404,483, according to the All Pakistan
Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Silver prices also witnessed an upward trend, with the price of 24-karat silver per tola increasing by Rs372 to Rs10,275, whereas the price of 10 grams of silver went up by Rs319 to Rs8,809.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $91 to reach $4,923 per ounce, marking a fresh record, while silver prices rose by $3.72 to $98.00 per ounce, the association reported.
