BEIJING , Jan 23 (APP): A framework agreement was signed on January 20 among Shandong College of Economics and Business, Sino Pak Agriculture (Pvt) Ltd and PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, marking a step forward in vocational education cooperation under the Luban-Mozi College initiative. The partnership aims to build a bridge between China and Pakistan to cultivate agricultural talent and foster industrial synergies.
The collaboration focuses on internationalizing vocational education by fostering interdisciplinary professionals with technical expertise, language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding through institutional-corporate collaboration.
The partnership focuses on key agricultural areas, including arid-area farming techniques, water-efficient irrigation and smart agriculture. The multidimensional cooperation encompasses customized talent training, the establishment of transnational practical training bases and mutual exchange of dual-qualified teaching staff.
It creates a direct channel for the overseas application and standardization of Chinese agricultural technologies and solutions, particularly in areas where China has developed advanced expertise, such as water-saving irrigation and digital agriculture. By integrating Chinese expertise with Pakistan’s national conditions, the initiative not only shares China’s established vocational education model, but also directly addresses Pakistan’s agricultural industry upgrading and youth employment needs, further injecting human resource dynamism into CPEC development as CEN reported . Success in this endeavor reinforces the international credibility of the Chinese vocational education model and demonstrates its global relevance.
The initiative draws inspiration from two ancient Chinese masters: Lu Ban, a legendary craftsman revered for his ingenuity, and Mozi, a philosopher known for promoting practical skills. Their enduring ethos – combining technical excellence with holistic development – continues to guide this contemporary educational partnership, fostering talent that bridges tradition and innovation.
