CONAKRY, Jan. 22 (Xinhua/APP): Guinean President Mamady Doumbouya on Thursday accepted the resignation of Prime Minister and Head of Government Amadou Oury Bah, along with that of all members of the government, according to an announcement by Amara Camara, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic.

Camara said the resignation letter was addressed to the head of state earlier Thursday during a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Doumbouya.

The collective resignation marks a new institutional beginning following the presidential election held on Dec. 28, 2025, Camara said.

Following the resignation, the president signed two decrees terminating the functions of the prime minister and government members, while entrusting the secretaries-general of ministerial departments with overseeing day-to-day affairs pending the appointment of a new government.
