ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP):The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) granted formal approval to the D Pharmacy program at the Department of Pharmacy, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad.
According to an official circular, a council panel visited the university and expressed satisfaction with the academic, practical and administrative standards, as well as the available facilities at the Department of Pharmacy. Following the inspection, the PCP approved the D Pharmacy batch commencing from 2025 and conveyed the decision to the Registrar through a formal letter.
In-Charge Campus Dr Saba Bashir termed the approval a major achievement for Federal Urdu University, stating that the department is fully equipped with modern laboratories, a well-stocked library, and highly qualified and experienced faculty members. She added that the university has launched the pharmacy program with an affordable fee structure to facilitate students.
Dr Saba Bashir further informed that admissions have been completed on merit, the orientation of the first batch has already been held, and regular classes are underway.
She credited the success to the vision and dedicated efforts of Vice Chancellor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, describing the approval as the outcome of collective hard work.
