SIALKOT, Jan 22 (APP):The Chinese Consulate General Scholarships distribution ceremony on Thursday held at the Syndicate Room, Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS).
As per release of the varsity, the ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, who personally awarded scholarship cheques to 26 deserving students selected purely on merit basis.
The Vice Chancellor herself conducted interviews of all applicants and ensured transparent selection of the most deserving students. In her address, she expressed sincere gratitude to Consul General Mr. Zhao Shiren for generously contributing PKR 1 million towards scholarships for deserving students. She highly appreciated the continued support and efforts of the Chinese Consulate General Lahore in promoting education and empowering talented youth.
Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir emphasized that such academic cooperation and financial support further strengthen the Pak–China friendship and open new avenues of educational collaboration.
The scholarship recipients expressed immense happiness and heartfelt thanks to Chinese Consulate General Lahore H.E Zhao Shiren and the for their support and commitment to student welfare.
