MIRPUR (AJK), Jan 22 (APP):Veteran London based overseas Kashmiri leader and President, Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council Kashmir Forum London, Malik Ameer Kabal, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic loss of precious human lives, injuries to many people, and the burning to ashes of dozens of shops as a result of the horrific fire that broke out at Gul Plaza in Karachi.
In his condolence statement released to the media here, he said that the tragic incident at Gul Plaza was extremely heartbreaking, in which several families had lost their loved ones while many others were seriously injured.
He said that the loss of valuable lives in this tragedy was a source of great pain and sorrow for the entire nation.
Expressing heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased, Malik Ameer Kabal prayed to Almighty Allah to grant forgiveness to the departed souls, place them in His mercy, and grant patience and strength to the bereaved families to endure the great loss.
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Malik Ameer Kabal said that in this tragic incident, many shops in Gul Plaza were completely burned to ashes, causing heavy financial losses to traders.
He urged the concerned authorities to immediately provide the best possible medical facilities to the injured and ensure all possible assistance to the affected families.
He emphasized that strict implementation of effective fire safety arrangements and regulations in urban areas was an urgent need of the time to ensure the protection of people’s lives and property.
