KARACHI, Jan 21 (APP):Shipping activity was reported at the port where six ships, Hansa Africa, GFS Giselle, Odelmar, PVT Jupitor, Al-Soor-II and Horizon-I, were scheduled to load/offload containers, Cement, Palm oil, Gas oil, and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal, and Sui Southern Gas Terminal, respectively, during the last hours.
Meanwhile, another bulk cargo carrier, ‘Rich-land Singapore’, with Soya Bean Seed also arrived at outer anchorage.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, ABK Tiger and Horizon-I, are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 126,944 tonnes, comprising 80,871 tonnes imports cargo and 46,073 export cargo carried in 1,878 Containers (351 TEUs Imports & 1,527 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 17 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Manina and Kallone & another ship, APL Oregon, carrying Fertilizer, Coal, and Container, expected to take berths at FAP, PIBT, and QICT today.
