20 outlaws held as ICT Police seize drugs and illegal weapons

ISLAMABAD, Jan 19 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested 20 outlaws and recovered drugs and illegal weapons during multiple operations carried out across different areas of the federal capital.
A police spokesperson told APP on Monday that police teams from Kohsar, Margalla, Karachi Company, Shams Colony, Bhara Kahu and Phulgran police stations arrested 13 accused involved in various criminal activities.
He said that during the operations, police recovered 225 grams of ice, 830 grams of hashish, 35 bottles of liquor, five pistols along with ammunition and a dagger from the possession of the arrested suspects. Cases have been registered against them, while further investigation is under way.
The spokesperson added that, in a separate special campaign launched for the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders, various police teams also arrested seven criminals.
Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continue their effective crackdown against crime and criminal elements to maintain peace and tranquility in the federal capital.
He said that Islamabad Police remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and will not allow any elements to disturb public peace.
