TANK, Jan 19 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi visited here on Monday to pay tribute to police martyrs. He visited police lines and laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial.
He offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and met with the families of fallen police personnel, assuring them of all possible support and assistance.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of police and security forces, saying that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and other security institutions have rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the country’s security and laid down their lives for the homeland—sacrifices that the nation will never forget.
Upon his arrival in Tank Governor Kundi was warmly received by senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), including Divisional Senior Vice President Fatah Sher Khan Mehsud, District President PPP Tank Sardar Hidayatullah Khan Gandapur, South Waziristan President Shams Mehsud, senior PPP leader Nadeem Awami Dost, Malik Syed Muhammad Khan Ashangi, Sardar Amanullah Mehsud, and other party officials.
Later, the governor visited the residence of Sardar Hidayatullah Khan Gandapur, where a special luncheon was hosted in his honor.
On the occasion, Governor Kundi also addressed senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party. Foolproof security arrangements were put in place throughout the district during the visit.
District Police Officer (DPO) Tank, Shabbir Hussain Marwat, personally supervised the security arrangements and remained present on site.
