WAH CANTT, Jan 19 (APP):Wah Saddar Police on Monday arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered over 44 kilograms of hashish during a targeted operation, officials confirmed.
According to police, the suspect was apprehended at a routine checkpoint when officers stopped a suspicious vehicle for inspection. A meticulous search of the car led to the recovery of a huge quantity of hashish, which had been cleverly concealed to evade detection.
Police sources revealed that the arrested individual is a record-holder criminal with a history of involvement in theft, house-breaking and drug trafficking. A case has been registered against the accused, while further investigation is underway to unearth his links with broader drug supply networks and identify other facilitators involved in the illicit trade.
