SMIT announces admission for fifth batch of `Free IT Training’ for youth

PESHAWAR, Jan 19 (APP):Aziz Jan Trust, a reputed philanthropic organization committed to providing quality education to underprivileged students, has announced admissions for the fifth batch of its Free IT Training programme.
The flagship initiative, launched in collaboration with Saylani Welfare Trust, aims to equip youth from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with modern information technology skills.
Both Aziz Jan Trust and Saylani Mass IT Training (SMIT) have joined hands in KP for imparting of latest information technology skills free of cost to students.
“The on-site training will provide golden opportunity to students who want to build their future in IT, AI and digital skills, all courses are 100% free,” reads the announcement shared by Aziz Jan Trust.
The fifth batch offers different courses on Modern Web Application Development, Agentic AI, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing with AI, Video Content Creation with AI and English language.
The classes will be held at Mohsin and Huma IT Training Centre in Peshawar where qualified IT experts, locals and visiting faculty from across the country, teaches students.
It merits to mention here that the collaborative initiative of Aziz Jan Trust and Saylani Welfare Trust has benefited more than five thousands students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last around three years by providing them free of cost training on modern IT skills.
Among the 5500 youngsters, more than 1000 both male and female, have turn their learning in the field of Information Technology into skilled digital professionals who are now successfully serving national and international clients and making handsome earnings for their families.
Some of the beneficiaries started their journey from having zero computer knowledge and within months become successful entrepreneurs due to consistent efforts, dedication and expert mentorship arranged under the training programme.
“MHIT Centre is offering free IT training to young people with the vision of equipping the new generation with modern digital skills, enabling them to pursue self-employment opportunities through freelancing,” says Sara Afan, Head of MHIT.
Talking to APP, Sara Afan said since its beginning in 2023, MHIT has imparted IT skill training in fields such as Python programming, cloud computing, web and mobile app development, graphic design, digital marketing, and video animation.
With the passage of time, MHIT also started focusing on career counselling by guiding students on professional profile development, enhancing communication skills, improving their interview presentation and confidence.
She said introduction of English language in the fifth bacth is infact aimed at improving the presentation skills of our students who after attaining skills in IT, cannot properly make impact during interviews.
In October 2025, MHIT organized a Hackathon to provide a competitive and collaborative environment where students can create innovative solutions, network with peers and industry professionals and gain a competitive edge for future careers.
Even after course completion, students continue to receive mentorship and guidance from trainers at MHIT, helping them to further improvement in their skills and professional network.
Sara also shared that work on construction of an incubation centre and auditorium hall within the premises of MHIT is completed which will further improve learning of students and add to their professional competence.
