VC Peshawar varsity visits China Window Centre

PESHAWAR, Jan 19 (APP):Vice Chancellor, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak visited China Window Center, Peshawar along with a four-member delegation on Monday.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak highlighted China’s remarkable progress in engineering, science, and technology.
He assured to extend this cooperation for the socio-economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Dr. Sadiq stated UET Peshawar already maintains diversified collaborations with Chinese universities and is actively working across various engineering disciplines through capacity building, faculty exchange, joint research projects.
Having unique niche in Rare Earth Elements, UET Peshawar is closely working with Chinese universities for technology transfer and cutting edge research in the field of REE, he remarked.
Expressing UET Peshawar’s strong interest in expanding institutional linkages, the Prof Dr. Sadiq Khattak stressed for signing in more partnerships with leading Chinese universities through China Window.
Earlier, Director China Window, Amjad Aziz Malik, gave a detailed briefing on joint initiatives aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, particularly through Chinese government scholarships.
He assured that the number of scholarships for Pakistani engineering students would increase further, contributing to the development of skilled human resources for national progress.
Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak also referred to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Pakistan–China friendship, describing it as a historic milestone that reflects the strength and continuity of bilateral relations.
The delegation toured various galleries of the China Window and appreciated its role in promoting Chinese culture and strengthening Pakistan–China relations.
Vice Chancellor recorded his impressions in the visitors’ book, and a souvenir was presented to him at the conclusion of the visit.
The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to further strengthening academic exchange and engineering cooperation between UET Peshawar and the China Window to reinforce collaboration between the two friendly countries.
