JI Women Wing (JI Youth) hosts “Meena Bazaar” in Capital

ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (APP):Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing (JI Youth) held a Meena Bazaar on Sunday at Qazi Farms, Margalla Town, showcasing young women’s entrepreneurial and creative skills while promoting economic empowerment.
The initiative provided a platform for emerging female entrepreneurs to engage with the community.
Qudsia Namoos, Nazima Halqa Khawateen Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad, was the chief guest, while Nasrullah Randhawa, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad, attended the event as the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, Qudsia Namoos warmly welcomed families and representatives of the electronic and print media and thanked them for their participation.

She said the event was designed to highlight the artistic and creative talents of young women, provide healthy entertainment for children, and encourage their involvement in sports and recreational activities.
“It gives me immense pride to see the remarkable talent our country possesses,” she remarked.
She added that the bazaar also aimed to bring together women running home-based businesses, enabling them to set up stalls and directly showcase their products to the public.
She further informed participants that a relief camp had been established for the people of Gaza, urging attendees to contribute generously, as Islam teaches compassion, humanity, and support for those in need. She concluded by congratulating the organizing team on the successful execution of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasrullah Randhawa said the core objective of the event was to empower women by recognizing their skills and reinforcing their role as an integral part of society.

He emphasized that Islam accords women a dignified status, whether as mothers, daughters, or sisters.
He pledged support for organizing similar events in the future and encouraged visitors to support women entrepreneurs by purchasing products from their stalls.
Referring to the Gaza relief camp, he said the collected funds would be used to provide essential aid to affected families. He reaffirmed solidarity with the people of Gaza and appreciated the media’s role in highlighting such initiatives. He also paid tribute to the organizing team for their dedication and hard work.
Talking on the occasion, Ayesha Azeem, President of JI Women Wing (JI Youth) said that Jamaat-e-Islami organizes such programs to highlight and promote the abilities of women.
“Our party that truly believes in women’s empowerment and also provides them with opportunities,” she mentioned.
The Meena Bazaar featured a variety of competitions, including calligraphy, painting, drawing, henna art, stand-up comedy, photography, reels, speech, and poster making. Special arrangements such as swings and games were made for children’s entertainment.
Women-led home-based businesses offering handicrafts, stationery, jewellery, food items, and other products were showcased at dedicated stalls. The event was open to families, particularly women, with an entry fee of Rs. 50 per person.
A donation camp was also set up to collect funds for food, shelter, and basic necessities for families affected in Gaza, while a walk in solidarity with Gaza was held at 3:00 pm.
