GUJRAT, Jan 18 (APP):A woman was killed, while a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a road accident on GT Road near GTS Chowk.
According to a Rescue-1122 spokesperson, a 22-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Tayyab Umar, was riding on the wrong side of the road towards GTS Chowk when he hit an unidentified pedestrian woman, aged about 35 years. The woman died on the spot, while the motorcyclist was critically injured.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot, provided first aid to the injured rider and shifted both the deceased woman and the injured motorcyclist to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital.
Police have initiated further proceedings.
