Aftab Sherpao stresses for unified narrative against terrorism

PESHAWAR, Jan 17 (APP):Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Sherpao here Saturday said that terrorism was a major issue and unified narrative was imperative against this scourge.
He said to deal with the challenges facing the country, especially the menace of terrorism, there is a need for the KP government and political parties to reach a consensus on a unified narrative.
The Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, said that the government and political parties must develop consensus on a unified narrative in order to tackle terrorism. He expressed these views while addressing a gathering at Watan Kor, Peshawar. On this occasion, former female MPA Miraj Humayun announced her joining the Qaumi Watan Party along with her associates. Those who joined included Sara Farid Khan, General Councillor Farooq Shah, Kisan Councillor Waheedullah, and other elders.
Aftab Sherpao said that to address the issue of terrorism, all stakeholders—including the government and political parties—must work together. He added that this is not the time for political confrontation, as it would harm the country. He emphasized that the country needs political stability, adding that incidents of terrorism have been increasing consistently over the past two to three years in KP. He further said that in this critical time, the federation and the provinces should work together to resolve issues such as terrorism.
