NAWABSHAH, Jan 17 (APP):Regional Director, Ombudsman Shaheed Benazirabad, Khan Muhammad Zardari, held a meeting in his office with the Director, Agriculture Extension, Shaheed Benazirabad, to review matters related to timely disbursement of subsidies to wheat growers an issuance of Hari Cards.
During meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the progress of subsidy payments and implementation of the Hari Card scheme. Regional Director emphasized the need to expedite the process to ensure that maximum relief reaches farmers without delay. He directedo concerned officers to complete all procedures in a transparent, timely, and effective manner to safeguard financial interests of wheat growers.
RD said that standing wheat crops are a valuable asset for farmers and reiterated that government is committed to farmer-friendly policies. He added that providing relief to wheat growers remains a top priority of government.
On the occasion, Director, Agriculture Extension, briefed Regional Director on the progress achieved so far in the disbursement of subsidies and the issuance of Hari Cards. He assured that all possible measures are being taken to extend maximum relief to farmers.
