ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (APP):At least 14 people, including five women, six children and three men, lost their lives, while several others sustained injuries after a mini Mazda truck overturned near a canal in Sargodha District due to dense fog early Saturday
morning.
According to rescue officials, dense fog caused a mini-Mazda truck to lose control and overturn into a canal, killing 14 people on the spot. The victims included women, children and men, private news channel reported.
Several passengers were injured in the accident. Rescue teams and local authorities quickly arrived at the scene to assist the victims and carry out recovery operations.
The injured and the deceased were shifted to Kot Momin Headquarters Tehsil Hospital for treatment and necessary procedures, while authorities launched an investigation into the incident.
